Nice and Cannes have their own magic, especially the wonderful shops along La Croisette in Cannes and the amazing flower market in Nice. As we are less than an hour from Monaco, it is worth spending a day there seeing the palace and the beautiful Princess Grace Gardens or the oceanographic museum and you can not leave without going to the casino!Along the coast are the lovely Esterel hills, and the Lerins Islands close to Cannes and the Levant Islands near Hyeres have a very typical provencal landscape. The lovely old village of Saint-Paul-de-Vence and the Maeght Arts Foundation there are worth a visit.Biot, famous for making glass is also worth a detour and Antibes has the famous Picasso museum. And let’s not forget the Cannes Film Festival and the Monte-Carlo Grand Prix in May or early June. After having emptied the shops in Antibes or Nice you can go lunch in one of the charming restaurants on the port. After an excursion to Italy, so close, let yourself be tempted by a restaurant in Ventimille, just across the French/Italian border, and San remo, only an hour and a half drive in the summer (or even less). And do not forget to take a swim at one of the nearby beaches … a treat!!! Then you can return to your bed and breakfast the Mas de Frayère for a last sunbath poolside or a nap before choosing to spend your evening out, with a large choice of festivities as our region is rich in choices of entertainment whether it be in the village, at a casino in Monaco, or perhaps the one in Juan les Pins, or perhaps Cannes with the “Croisette” or Nice with the “Promenade des Anglais”? Or you could choose to stay close to home with the casino in Grasse. You might prefer one of the numerous restaurants in the old town of Nice, the “vieux Nice” so picturesque with an Italian flavor in the streets around the cathedral, streets always bustling with life and animation no matter what the season. Whatever your choice you will spend a marvelous evening, calm and romantic or dynamic and in music… up to you to choose!
