Le Mas de Frayère, bed and breakfast on the French riviera Between Cannes and Nice Situated on the Cote d’azur, in a rectangle formed by Grasse, perfume capital of the world, Antibes, St paul de Vence and Nice (we are only 20 km from the Nice airport) our home, affiliated with the Gites of France for 12 years, is in the Rouret. Small, quiet provençal village where living is easy, hidden in the middle of the hills formed by the maritime Alps while at the same time close to the sea and it’s animated lifestyle. With attractions such as Nice and its Promenade des Anglais, the cours Saleya market (you can visit it with a culinary guide which is nice) Juan les Pins with the nightlife and fireworks festival. We are also only 5 minutes from one of the many 18 hole golf courses in the region. Grasse, capital of perfumes is only 9 km from our guest house . Cannes is very close too (20km) if you are a fashionista Polygone Riviera in Cagnes sur mer or Cap 3000 in St Laurent du var will attract you with their huge shopping malls. Bedrooms 20km from Cannes We are in essence close to (but not in the middle of) all there is to visit, such as the perched villages such as Gourdon ( which received the label of ” the most beautiful villages in France “) is 11,9 km from our house or Opio known for it’s olive oil, Cannes and the famous croisette, Nice and Monaco among others, while remaining in a haven of greenery and tranquility. In this Provencal mas we have only two comfortable rental rooms to which you will enjoy returning after your outings in this marvelous region of color, light, and wonderful scents. Breakfast is served outside , in a quiet and flowered garden, with the odors of fresh thyme and rosemary or on the terrace. You can take the time to taste our homemade jams and jellies (raspberries, cherries…) while enjoying the peaceful ambiance that reigns. Rooms with pool When you have finished visiting you will want to return to the Mas de Frayere for a dip in the pool to the sound of the locusts, with a glass of rose or whatever you wish in hand, before heading out again to discover the restaurants in town or in the countryside. I will be pleased to handle all your reservations: restaurant, boat or car rentals, golfing, or deep sea fishing. You can enjoy the pool (which by the way is closed for maintenance between 1:30 pm and 3:30 pm. The Mas de Frayere offers you unforgettable vacations, everything being done to help you. After a pleasant evening, you will return to the Mas de Frayere for a calm and starry night before heading out again to discover the Cote d’Azur. Room with charm Ideal for a couple, the first room is sunny and comfortable with a large iron post canopy bed and the mattress size 160 by 200 cm, decorated in Provencal colors. The second bedroom, also equipped with a large bed and mattress 160 by 200 cm, can accomodate a family due to the mezzanine for one or two children. Each room is equipped with a mini-fridge to keep cold your drinks, a hot water heater with an assortment of teas, coffees and herbal teas. You also have detailed brochures concerning our beautiful region. The « Mazet » room is independant and close to the pool so you can enjoy your breakfast under the veranda with pool view and flower garden. The Poppy room is spacious and bright, and overlooks the garden, the room is decorated with the warm colors of provence, A romantic decoration with a large (queen size) four-poster bed for quiet and relaxing nights , the bathroom is done in grey marble. Swimming pool A large swimming pool (5 meters by 9 meters) equipped with lounge chairs will permit you to tan or swim laps, while planning your evenings seaside only minutes away. The walled garden and private parking, as well as the electric gate offer you security and well-being. The pool and its surrounding is open 22/24h , only not available between 1.30 to 3.30 pm to clean the pool and watering flowers . At cocktail time, you will perhaps be tempted by the homemade orange wine and oignon tart. Situated on the fringe of the delightful old village of Le Rouret, this B&B is ideally placed for visiting the towns along the Reviera, the perfume city of Grasse and also the cooler Sea Alps'. Our stay was so confortable here. The room was pristeen and our breakfasts yummy with jams and jellies made by the owner. We found the location perfect, out of the city yet so close to everything with so much to see. We felt really at home and managed to sleep and play too ! Our hostess had all sorts of documentation on the sights to see so our plans were made over breakfast with her delicious homemade jam on fresh bread. Our week went quickly as she had so many ideas for us. Did get our beach time in too - don't know how but we did! Great trip.
