| Our Home (Le Mas) Our house is part of the little village of Le Rouret, about 10 kms from Grasse and 25 kms from Nice or Cannes and the beaches of the Mediterranean. Grasse has a pleasant old-fashioned air about it and some excellent restaurants. It has long been famous for making perfumes and the fields of flowers that are used to make the essences are a lovely sight when they are in bloom. Monaco is 45 kms from here. We have two double bedrooms, pleasant to come back to after a day out and peacefully relaxing for a quiet time around the pool or a long siesta. Breakfast, which includes home made jams is served on the terrace in front of your room, in a garden scented with rosemary and thyme. Occasionally one of our two dogs may come in search of a friendly stroke. The Rooms (chambres d'hôtes) Ideal for two, the room has a large double bed and is light and sunny, decorated in the warm colours of Provence and shaded from the midday sun by an arched, private terrace. The bathroom is decorated in pearly grey marble. A second bedroom, also with a large double bed, can welcome a whole family with one or two children in the "mezzanine". Our Swimming Pool A large swimming pool (5 x 9 meters) surrounded by lounge chairs to allow you to tan and swim to the music of the cigales; while dreaming of your evenings seaside. The fenced garden and private parking, accessed by an electronic gate insures your privacy and security. We are within easy reach of other villages and a good choice of restaurants, which serve a variety of Provençal dishes like lamb with olives, stuffed vegetables and fresh pasta, seafood, generous salads and bouillabaisse fish soup, together with the wines of the Var. |
